I was meant to write about Instagram's latest feature today - something is brewing that could be a proper opportunity - but I fell down a rabbit hole and now you'll have to wait until Sunday for that one.
Anyway, you know those branded images you see on my thumbnails and X posts? I've got this Claude workflow that takes my newsletter content and spits out image prompts. Feed those into Sora, and boom - on-brand visuals that I’d usually have to pay for someone to make me.
So naturally, I thought: "What if I could turn these into TikTok videos?"
Sora for video? Absolute rubbish. Completely ignores your prompts and goes off creating whatever fever dream it fancies. But then I found Akool - feed it my existing images and it creates smooth animations. I've been playing around with basic stickman animations all afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results (oops looks like I ballsed up Akool in the tweet):
Interesting...
Claude to produce a prompt > Sora to create the image > and now Akora can turn it into an animation.
What a time.

Which got me thinking: is there a massive opportunity for AI animation services right now?
The global animation market sits at $462 billion in 2025, heading towards $895 billion by 2034. That's not just Disney and Pixar money - that's explainer videos, social media content, advertising, and everything in between.
Traditional animation costs $5,000-$50,000 per minute. AI animation delivers comparable results at a fraction of the cost whilst being much faster to produce.
Those viral animation ads you might remember - like that Cadbury commercial with 134 million views or the Rubik's Cube ad with 63 million - weren't happy accidents. Animation sticks in people's minds in ways regular video simply can't.
Sora remains the gold standard for certain types of content, despite its video quirks. When it works, it's unmatched for text-to-video generation up to 60 seconds.
Akool is where I'm seeing results. Even basic animations look professional, supports 50+ languages with automated lip-syncing. Pricing starts free, premium features from $15-35 monthly.
RunwayML for professional-grade video generation with their Gen-3 model showing particular strength in motion consistency and camera movements.
Synthesia dominates talking head content with 300+ professionally designed templates. Enterprise plans start at $35/month.
For the technically minded, ComfyUI with AnimateDiff offers complete control but requires serious learning investment.
The reality is, you need to use a couple of these tools together rather than just clicking a magic button. There's no single solution that does everything perfectly, which is both the challenge and the opportunity.
What if you could replace 12+ scattered tools with one simple platform?
Here's what's killing most new entrepreneurs: tool paralysis.
You've got one platform for emails, another for landing pages, WordPress for your site, PayPal for payments, Google Sheets for tracking, Calendly for bookings...
Sound familiar?
You spend more time switching between apps than actually building your business. And when something breaks? Good luck figuring out which tool is the culprit.
Our Partners at Systeme.io Just Fixed This
They've built what we wish existed when we started: everything you need in one place.
Professional sales funnels (no more WordPress headaches)
Email marketing that actually works (and won't ban you for sharing income strategies like MailChimp did to me)
• Course hosting with built-in payments (one login, not five)
• Lead capture forms that convert
• Automated sequences that nurture prospects
• Plus affiliate management, analytics, and more
Here's What Sounds Too Good to Be True
It's completely free to start. 2,000 contacts, full functionality, zero credit card required.
When you're ready to scale? Just $27/month replaces what would normally cost you $200+ across multiple platforms.
Why We're Sharing This
Our partners at Systeme.io have created something that genuinely works without the technical nightmares. Most "all-in-one" platforms are proper shit. This one isn't.
Back to the strategy...
Hardware Requirements (if you don't have a decent laptop):
Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 (8+ cores)
16GB RAM minimum, 32GB preferred
Decent graphics card for rendering
1TB SSD for project files
Startup Costs:
Basic Setup: $300-800 (software subscriptions, domain, basic website)
Professional Setup: $1,500-3,000 (better hardware if needed, premium software stack)
The Learning Path: Start with one tool. Master it completely before moving to others. Akool or RunwayML for beginners - focus on 15-30 second clips consistently.

Create 3-5 sample animations in your target niche during month one. Quality over quantity matters here.
You could easily charge a couple of thousand for monthly retainers once established, or work project-based pricing depending on your preference and client needs.
Aaron Connolly and Dylan Healy built Animation Explainers into a $1.02 million annual revenue business starting with just $5,000. Twenty-person team now, 350+ clients, focusing purely on explainer videos for complex products. They started small and built systematically.
Marco Gatti's Whiteboard EE generates $120,000 annually as a one-person operation. Ultra-specific niche - whiteboard animations only. Premium positioning, international focus.
But the edge cases are more interesting:
Sarah Chen started with Synthesia for corporate training videos. Now pulls steady income working part-time, focusing purely on HR departments needing onboarding content.

AI tools often struggle with character consistency across scenes, visual continuity, and narrative flow. This is your biggest competitive advantage when you solve it.
Solutions: Develop reference style guides, use consistent prompting techniques, create character sheets for complex projects. The businesses making real money have solved this problem.
Implement multi-stage review processes and develop systems for quality control. This isn't a magic button business - it requires skill and attention to detail.
Unlike many AI opportunities that might get commoditised quickly, this one requires combining multiple tools, understanding client needs, and delivering consistent quality. There's no magic button that produces professional results.
The demand for video content continues growing across all industries. Animation specifically works because it explains complex concepts simply and memorably.
Early adopters who master both the technology and business fundamentals will capture significant market share. Most businesses still don't understand what's possible - you can position yourself as the bridge between what they need and what's now technologically possible.
The opportunity exists because there's genuine skill required, real client demand, and the tools are accessible but not automatic. That combination creates sustainable business opportunities.
