How I'm Going to Miami for FREE

(Air Tags & Points)

Hey there,

Remember when I mentioned heading to Miami for a couple of weeks?

Well, what if I told you this whole trip is free?

Here's How I'm Doing It

You know I'm into travel hacking. I hit the Amex Business Gold bonus, redeemed for flights using points, and only had to pay £300 in taxes.

That's already a steal compared to the £1000+ these flights would normally cost.

But £300 isn't free, is it?

Enter: Retail Arbitrage + AI

This is where Anywhere Income principles come into play.

America has loads of retail arbitrage opportunities - electronics and clothing are typically way cheaper there than in the UK.

But here's my problem: I'm too busy with the agency and this newsletter. I don't have time to research countless products, calculate import taxes, and figure out net profits.

Perplexity Deep Research to the Rescue

If you're not using this yet, you're missing out. (You get 5 free searches daily, but I pay for it because I use it constantly - this link gives you $10 off if you want it).

I asked Perplexity to compile a report on portable, high-profit items I could buy in Miami and sell in the UK. I wanted something that would cover my £300 in flight taxes.

I specifically requested:

  • What to buy

  • Where to sell

  • eBay fees calculation

  • Import tax estimates

  • Worst-case scenarios

The Winner: Apple Air Tags

Perplexity identified a perfect opportunity:

  • 4-packs of Apple Air Tags retail for about $50 in the US (even less on promotion)

  • They sell daily on UK eBay for around £85

  • That's roughly £30 profit per pack after fees and shipping

So I need to buy 10 packs, flip them back home, and boom - Miami trip is completely free.

The Bigger Picture

This is what I mean when I say it's the best time in history to do this stuff.

Combining AI research with arbitrage opportunities and travel hacking creates possibilities that simply didn't exist before.

And it's a right laugh!

AI Automation Everywhere

I've been playing with Zapier lately, creating an app that evaluates Twitter hook images against an LLM project.

I'm even looking at ways to automate my weekly grocery shopping to save an hour.

In the past, you'd need to be a software engineer to do this stuff. Now, you just ask Perplexity or Claude to tell you how.

This isn't the age of specialisms anymore - it's the age of creativity.

Matched Betting Update

Another Cheltenham festival has come and gone. For the first time, I couldn't name a single horse or jockey because I'm banned from placing bets in the UK (after taking bookies to the cleaners for years).

But just because the festival's over doesn't mean the opportunities are:

  • UK folks: Oddsmonkey is still your best bet (free trial will make you £50)

  • Everyone else: Rebel Betting has a spring sale on RIGHT NOW for their arbitrage software

Miami Question

My wife's taking me to an NBA game in Miami (stoked!).

Any Florida subscribers here? What's the gambling scene like there? Any matched betting opportunities in stores?

Hit reply and let me know.

Talk soon,

Lewis

P.S. If you want that Perplexity retail arbitrage report I mentioned, reply with "MIAMI" and I'll send it over.
